Height of Ponies to be over 38” and no more than 52”.
COGGINS PAPERS WILL BE CHECKED BY EIA VERIFER BEFORE UNLOADING PONIES. (Current negative within the past 12 months). Superintendent will be at Pony Barn on Sunday, September 12 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. for early arrivals. PONIES ARE TO BE IN PLACE BY 12:00 NOON, MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 13. Measurement of ponies will be at 12:00 noon on Monday. PONIES USED IN PERFORMANCE CLASSES MUST BE ON DISPLAY DURING THE ENTIRE FAIR. Premiums will be forfeited if ponies are removed before 9:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19. Appropriate attire required (NO T-SHIRTS, TANK TOPS OR SHORTS). All performance class premium money is provided by the White County Fair Association. NO stallion may be shown or used in performance class by a person under 18 years of age.

ALL RULES IN BOLD & UNDERLINED ARE FROM FAIR BOARD AND ARE NOT SUBJECT TO CHANGE
1. Pony Superintendent shall call at least 2 meetings per year to keep exhibitors informed. One will be in the spring and one in the fall.
2. No changes shall be made without the approval of the exhibitors unless it is an emergency. If the Fair Board changes a rule or the Fair Board needs an answer to a question where there is no time to have a meeting the Superintendent will use their best judgment.
3. Exhibitors meeting will be held following close of the Fair to elect a new Superintendent and assistants.
4. Stalls may be limited depending on number of ponies entered. We will try to accommodate exhibitors whenever possible. Exhibitors will be notified if the number of stalls requested is not available. No more than four (4) stalls per family. Assignment will be made by the Superintendent.
5. Ponies will be measured upon unloading.
6. Early entries will be Sunday from 2 to 5 P.M. NO EXCEPTIONS
7. Youth exhibitors must be able to handle their pony and take directions from the judge. Exhibitors 5 and up are not to be assisted while showing their pony. If exhibitor cannot do so, do not enter class. Instructions from Ring Steward must be followed. Pee Wee Exhibitors 0 – 4 years old may be assisted by parents or adult (General Rules).
8. In performance classes the exhibitor must know the pattern and be able to perform without assistance. In barrels, poles, & ball race exhibitors must at least be able to trot their ponies through pattern. If exhibitor breaks pattern they will be disqualified. (No reruns) because of time constraints.
9. No more than 2 entries by one exhibitor in each SR class. (General Rules)
10. No Youth in SR classes except for Produce of Dam, Get of Sire, Mare and current foal. Youth will be allowed to help as long as not showing s stallion, but entries will be under adult exhibitor’s number.
11. Foals will not be allowed to follow mares in for classes other than Mare and Foal. Foal must have a halter and be led.
12. No exhibitor under the age of 18 will be allowed to show a stallion.
Additional Rules Passed by White County Fair Board
The following rules may not be changed
1. Registration is final. No changes may be made except for deletions after it has been received by White County Fair. No substitutions without a letter from a Vet. And must be approved by Superintendent.
2. Limit of four (4) stalls per immediate family (if space permits) depending on the number of entries. Ponies may be used only by immediate family (Husband, Wife, Child or Grandchild) JRS will be given stalls first.
3. Ponies must be owned and be in the possession of the exhibitor at least 30 days prior to opening day of the fair. No borrowing or lending of ponies will be allowed.
4. Two (2) junior members of a family may jointly care for and show one pony, but the pony may be shown one time in each class for which it is eligible and exhibitors must be in different age groups.
5. The age of the exhibitor will be defined as the age they will be on the first day of the fair.
